Works that found walls.

Each work is wound entirely by hand around nails set into the rim of a panel. A single-colour work is one unbroken thread from the first nail to the last; every additional colour adds a thread. Size, shape, palette and frame finish are determined at commission.

The Artist

Meet the artist behind the thread.

Jad Okaily works from a studio in Beirut. The thread travels around hundreds of nails set into the rim of a panel, never inside it, and the pattern emerges where the straight lines cross one another.

No machine is involved at any stage. Every work is wound by hand, nail by nail, and the studio produces a small number of works each week.

Priced by scale and complexity.

Each work is priced on its dimensions, the number of layers in the pattern, and the finish of the frame. Larger and more intricate commissions are quoted individually.

Studio pieces From $100

Single or two-layer patterns in one or two thread colours, made to your dimensions. Clean geometry, plain frame.

Atelier pieces From $250

Multi-layer patterns, larger formats, colour gradients, bespoke shapes and decorated frames. Priced on enquiry.

Trade −15%

Interior designers, architects and studios receive 15% on Atelier pieces, including multi-piece orders for a single project.

Shipping is quoted separately. Works are rigid panels and freight varies considerably by destination, so it is calculated for your country and confirmed in writing before any work begins.
